Caught in a downpour, Cadiz

Our program brought us to Cadiz and on our long bus trip we stopped in "El Torcal"  This is a fantastic place to go hiking and enjoy the very cool rock formations.  It had just rained so it was a bit muddy but other than that it was a lot of fun!

This little guy followed us the whole way. Is this normal? I don't think so.  Someone has been feeding the fox.

Some cows just hanging out

Julia and I comparing our bocadillos that our different residencias packed for us.
Julia's bocadillo won.  Mine had olive oil and a slice of cheese with a slice of ham.  Hers actually had vegetables.  I can't wait to eat a real sandwich again with vegetables.
No one could wear their shoes on the bus because they were too muddy
Lovely sights on the way to Cadiz
So we had a mix up... Went to a restaurant and one of the girls told the other two to get the cod, it will be good.  And out walks two heaping plates of anchovies, heads and all! hahah

Our walking tour was a tad wet.

No worries we will just walk around looking at our feet to avoid walking into lakes.

Memorial to the first Spanish Constitution.  200 years ago!

All was well...
...and then it got windy

We were only slightly soaked...Seaking refuge in the cathederal

I literally could wring my jacked out

Bathroom has turned into a drying room

And then the sun came out, and dried up all the rain

Rain, wind, sand, sun; Portugal

Portugal is my new favorite trip.  Although the weather was rather crummy the people and beaches still made up for it.  I went to Lagos with a group called "Discover Granada" and I had some of the best times with the group than I have had so far in Spain! Definitely the prettiest beaches I have seen.  Beats Mexico in every aspect.

Sangria cruise :)  It was rather cloudy and a tad chilly, but the tunes were fantastic and the company was excellent.

Hop on in the water is fine!  We were the only three that braved the chilly water. After a few minutes your body is numb so it isn't that bad... haha.  Good thing I had my down jacket waiting for me when I got out. :)

 Candace and I freezing haha

We took smaller boats into the coves to check them out.

Thai for dinner! Bomb!

We went for a walk on top and around some beautiful cliffs.

 Water is perfect.

That is me on top of the world :)

Soccer, volleyball, and swimming on the beach!

At the end of the world.  There will be rain.
Lighthouse that I am sure Britta would love to live in, since she is obsessed with them. After seeing this one, I  would love to live in one too.

Candace heading for the most dangerous spot... of course hah

There will be music at the end of the world.

Last beach for surfing or relaxing
Candace sheltering from the wind haha

And the rain is coming...  Unfortunately Candace and I were caught in that rain on our walk.  We ended up at the Cafe totally soaked and sandy.  The sun came out later though so we dried off in no time.
The crazy surfers

After walking across the beach a group of us found this beach behind a dune.

Tanning in the shelter of the dunes

 Up we go!

Before I left for Portugal.  Saying goodbye to Emma.
