Denmark to see Malene!

I had such a great time in Denmark visiting Malene(former exchange student) and her family!  The weather was very cold(snowed one day)  but that did not stop us from our activities.  We went to gardens, cemeteries, museums, amusement parks, canal tours, ate great food, biked around the city, and got lost several times :) I couldn't have asked for a better trip, apart from staying in Zurich airport for 8 hours during the night, both ways haha at least the ticket was reasonably cheep.

Christiania clearly does not consider themselves to be a part of  the EU

Typical thing to do in Copenhagen, bike! Slightly intimidating to bike with the intense bikers of Copenhagen, People dinged their bells at me multiple times.

Hello is anyone there?

Adorable little harbor

In the fantastic and affordable restaurant by the harbor.  We had a plate of  cheeses and meats and sauces to start us off then we had our delicious pizzas, and a dessert of ice cream with a brown sugar topping. Yumm and all of this was before heading to the movie Hunger Games!  Fabulous day.  I was able to see Hunger Games in the Danish theaters because they do not dub their movies. I was so thrilled! Although everything in Denmark is expensive so it was a $20 movie. Ridiculous, right? Worth it though.

Canal tour on our one semi sunny still freezing day :)

And of course I could not see Malene without making chocolate chip cookies!!! It was a cookie and movie night while it was sleeting outside.

Second time I have had sushi in my life!  It was on the 12th floor of the Tivoli hotel that looked out over Copenhagen
